Day 14
Milnrow Cricket Club was founded in 1857 and plays all home matches at Ladyhouse. They are always on the lookout for keen cricketers, no matter your age or how good you are.
They are a fully inclusive club which promotes good sportsmanship throughout. They train every Tuesday and Thursday in summer (senior teams) and junior training is on Friday evenings.
This fantastic cricket club is located at the foot of the Pennines in the picturesque village of Milnrow. The beautiful ground at Ladyhouse Lane has been home to some of the best cricket seen at club level and some great professional and amateur players have played at the club over the years. Recently the club moved with the times and is now more than just a cricket club. Today, whilst cricket is and always will be an integral part of what they do, they are now a Community Sports and Social Club offering a wide range of sports, leisure and social activities for people of all ages.
They are welcoming, and state 2020 has highlighted the strong community spirit. Which is prevalent in the village of Milnrow, and that they have it in abundance!
They were really excited to be a part of our Christmas campaign and advent calendar. Thank you to Milnrow Cricket Club for being so welcoming to all who visit and for being day 14 on the mylifeautistic advent calendar.
