The greatest game ever played
I was always drawn to films that had characters with great resolve. Ones that were not underdogs as much as they were completely underestimated.
One of the films I love is a Disney movie called “The greatest game ever played”. I am not into golf but oddly quite like movies about the subject.
This particular one focuses on class division but also how someone can be too easily undervalued.
A young amateur, taking on a host of well respected professionals. I’m not going to spoil the film but I will say it’s the growth of character, despite repeated tests to it and his determination to play that makes it so inspiring. It shows what people can achieve with strength of heart and passion. It is a true story, I’d imagine there are parts which didn’t match the real experiences. However it’s a balanced telling of what truly is an astonishing game of golf.
If you have never seen it I would recommend it for a feel good film, and a great story.
All our best and love
