Santa
My daughter asked me a year or two ago, very directly, was Santa real?
I try always to be honest with her but frame things in a way she can understand. I will admit this was a tricky one for me. Because I didn’t want her to lose that Christmas spirit.
So this is what I told her... In this world a thought, an idea can crossover. That’s why she can visit Mickey Mouse in Paris or go to Hogwarts in London. That some ideas and belief, by enough people in them, can create a version in the real world. So Santa isn’t a person like we are, but a belief in kindness and compassion that many hold dear.
