I wrote a post recently about Silent Bob and how reassuring it was to see a character that didn’t use words to communicate. I really appreciated Silent Bob, but there was another character that stood out for a similar reason.
Penn and Teller are dotted throughout the media I watched. From “Sabrina the Teenage Witch”, to “Fool us” and more recently "Young Sheldon". Like Jay and Silent Bob, I was drawn to the quiet one out of the duo. Silent but not inexpressible, not just a part of the act but often the star. I watched as they took a stroll from one show to the next. Like a familiar friend coming round just to see if you are in.
I really loved their humour, style and how they play off each other. Penn always included Teller, much like Jay and Silent Bob (again). I can honestly say that all four of them kept me company from childhood to current day.
I would say that they are great magicians, but let’s face it, they are great entertainers.
Oh and don’t worry Teller, your secret is safe with me.
All our best and love

I hope in the future we have a lot more characters that don’t need words to define them, or to talk to an audiences heart.
