Given what I have said already about mental processes, about communication and misunderstandings, how our view of media and words can be different: so wouldn’t media like this help?
Factual programs with linked logic based progression (especially for children).
Direct and precise information to match how we communicate.
Binary presentation for the way our minds process information (right/wrong, fact/fiction, yes/no).
Characters and experiences that resonate with the community but done in a way to reduce sensory triggers.
Autistic characters from different backgrounds and cultures/identities.
Shows about famous people that have been retroactively diagnosed, even if framed as what if they were?
Shows with both autistic and non autistic hosts so both views of the world can be expressed, explored and discussed.
Entertainment directly for autistic people and the different way we see the world due to binary mental processing.
More positive media because we as a community need access to more of that. Because we are deeply aware of our instinctual side, aggressive or violent content can cause a negative reaction.
Well I genuinely don’t know if we will get it but I’m certainly going to try.
