Burnout
I struggle with the winter months for many reasons. One of the main ones is because of burnout. With me it’s like draining a battery. Mental and physical exertion reduce energy levels which can result in burnout.
Pain (and illness) can cycle burnout so that’s something that needs to be accounted for often. I will admit I am pretty new to the whole trying to rest thing. However I am seeing why it is so essential.
Last year I worked through the burnout more often than not. However I also ended up spending the time I took off to spend with my family, either completely drained or asleep for most of it. So I’m trying to be more careful and rest when needed. I have been struggling with text recently, as you can see in the image burnout can be really rough during the winter months.
I will write posts when I’m able to, I hope by March the pain will become more stable and easier to manage. Until then we haven’t gone anywhere, just may be hibernating until it gets warmer. Take care of yourselves everyone and until the next post, remember to be kind to your mind.
All our best and love
