Baymax Support Cards?

Dear Funko and Disney,

I started creating the Funko images on the mylifeautistic page for our summer giveaway. At least that was how it began. I couldn’t talk for a short time period recently, which takes a few days to recuperate from. I really needed something positive to focus on that I could get lost in. This resulted in two days of making Funko Pop related imagery.

One of the images is of Baymax in a hospital. This started me thinking. As an autistic human rights activist, I am always looking for ways to support the community. To put in place the resources and information our generation didn’t have.

Healthcare is one of the areas we really want to focus on. Creating resources for visits to hospitals, doctors, and dentists. The reason for this post is I want to ask permission to create a series of these Baymax images. Each set would be focusing on a specific environment. The mock ups in this image are an example of what the “Hospital Support Cards” could look like. The cards themselves would be created by a focus group consisting of autistic advocates. This gives up the greatest chance of making an inclusive set of support cards for autistic children with different needs. We are happy to share the final images with you for final confirmation.

When the sets are complete and have been signed off by both companies, we intend on giving them to the Scottish government. I help advise on matters that directly impact the autistic community and caregivers. We would get in contact and ask that a trial is conducted in Scotland.

May I ask if you are willing to give us permission to see this through. Making Baymax the personal healthcare companion for the autistic community. A way to help reassure autistic children, in environments that can be far too easily overwhelming.

All our best and love
