Higher Lank Farms has specialised in holidays for families with children up to the age of 12 since 1999. They have two self-catering cottages one sleeping 2 adults and up to 4 children and one sleeping 4 adults and up to 4 children. Both are fully equipped with everything you need when holidaying with a young family.
This peaceful location has chickens, ducks, geese with eggs to collect, goats, pigs and orphan lambs to bottle feed. Lucy, a former special needs teacher and swimming instructor spends an hour every morning with the families staying with them feeding the animals and swapping stories.
Do you enjoy swimming or relaxing in a jacuzzi? On sight is an indoor endless pool and jacuzzi for your exclusive use five times during your stay. One on one swim classes are also available to children on the autism spectrum.
They are a working pedigree Belted Galloway breeding farm and offer a tractor and trailer ride to see the herd once a week. This can be adapted to meet the specific needs of each family staying. Also included are twice weekly pony and trap rides.
If your idea of a peaceful holiday includes cute critters and farm life, then look no further. There are plenty of activities to keep the whole family entertained.
