Day 21
You have no idea how happy I was to get this location for the advent calendar. Day 21 is Sheldon’s spot ... in a bed and breakfast. A place where autistic people are, and always have been welcome.
They have a superb reputation for being autism friendly. The owners have a background as childcare practitioners, working with SEN children and helped diagnosed a few along the way. They understand us, as well as the needs of caregivers, The Sheldon Bed and Breakfast is basically made to support our community.
Their rooms are low stimulation, muted shades, low pattern and quiet. Perfect for autistic adults and children to get a more restful sleep. They even offer a quiet breakfast service. They have had many autistic guests that return again and again, and have never had a less than top marked review.
Day 21 is a bed and breakfast that in my opinion is paving the way for exactly the kind of New Life Autistic we all hope for. Thank you so much to The Sheldon for not only being a part of our advent calendar but for all you do.
Accommodation that’s always adaptive to the needs of caregivers and the community. To quote Sheldon, “That is my spot. In an ever-changing world, it is a single point of consistency.”.
