Advent Day 16

Day 16

Today we have a bit of a bonus. Not only do we have a location willing to show support for the autistic community but one who is preparing for an upcoming fundraiser for an amazing charity.

The Carriers Arms is run by husband and wife duo Karen and David. It is quaint, family run village tavern in rural Wiltshire, renewed for its excellent food, guest rooms and local ale, some of which is brewed on site.

Before their venture into hospitality Karen and her husband were both teachers. Karen says; “I spent twelve years teaching at a SEN school in west Wales, one of the highlights of my working week was venturing out into the Pembrokeshire countryside with a handful of students to visit our local riding school, which was funded by a charity very much like the one we are now supporting.”

This year the Carriers Arms have teamed up with the parish church to support The Wylye Valley Disabled Childrens’ Charity. WVDC aims to give disabled, ill and disadvantaged kids between the age of 11 – 16 the relaxing holiday they need.

If you are local to the area why not pop on by to support a fabulous cause on the evening of Thursday the 22nd of December.

All our best and love
